Had just purchased from Carvana and wanted an oil change and have everything inspected. They Explained everything, did a great inspection on the car and wrote up what I needed to send to the warranty provider. Honesty and good work go a long way.Posted on Meg HanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I truly don’t know where to begin I’ve had a service engine light go off since July, thy have done every step to make sure this never has to come back on So much patience with me, explaining every detail of why it’s come back on and all within reasonable prices. And the convenience of scheduling is so helpful, I truly trust my Jeep with Scotty’s mechanics.Posted on Claire FinanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scotty’s Auto was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We brought our Ford F-250 6.0 to them after previous repairs elsewhere left the truck in terrible shape, and Scotty’s completely turned the experience around. Their communication was outstanding — they explained all pricing upfront, detailed everything that needed to be done, and even sent a full email with photos and descriptions of the necessary repairs. Corey was so kind and kept me updated every step of the way. Vinny, the mechanic, is incredibly knowledgeable and his workmanship is truly top tier. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in the quality of his work. I highly recommend Scotty’s Auto to anyone looking for honest, skilled, and trustworthy service. We’ll always take our Ford 250 6.0 there from now on!Posted on Bradley DullTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Helpful and trustworthy mechanic! Had engine troubles develop during a road trip, and was overdue for an oil change. A chain oil service refused me and recommended towing to a full service. Several local shops did not have availability for days, but when I called Scotty's I spoke with Tory who promised to get me in within an hour and even address minor issues for no more than the diagnostic charges. Ultimately, there was a leak in my oil system and despite significant abuse on my poor engine from not being as diligent as I should with maintenance, the oil system was fixed, fresh oil in the system, filters replaced, and good to go again in about 24 hours. All staff I dealt with were very friendly throughout the process. Would definitely use again.Posted on Tim CarrolloTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The team at Scotty’s Automotive did a phenomenal job working on my truck. I had a lift kit installed, my oil changed, my tires rotated and a wheel alignment done. They got my truck finished in one day and I could not be happier with the work. I would have full confidence in recommending them to anyone who is need of work or maintenance performed on their vehicle. I want to add an update to my review. My truck recently gave me some issues so in a pinch I brought it to a different shop, they did the inspection and when they gave me an estimate for the repair cost it seemed a little high to me. So I wanted another opinion and got my truck checked out by Scotty’s. Scotty’s did the work for nearly half the price of my original estimate. And they got my truck back to how she should be running in 2 days. My mistake was not going to Scotty’s from the start. The whole team was excellent and I couldn’t be happier. I would again recommend them to anyone who needs any automotive repairs. Thank you to everyone at Scotty’s!Posted on M PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Always friendly and professionalPosted on Dollene RayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Several weeks ago I was traveling from GA and experienced a deathwobble on the interstate near Matamoras, PA. I googled and found Scotty's had many excellent reviews, so that's where I headed. The reviews are legit!! I was traveling solo, an older female, far from home and in a situation that could've ended up with me paying for unnecessary repairs had I gone to the wrong place. My truck needed extensive front end repairs. I was given an itemized estimate up front. The technician showed me what needed to be done and took pictures to send to my husband. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and professional. My truck went in on a Thursday and was ready late the next week. I was regularly updated. When I picked up the truck, the bill was exactly what I was quoted. The people at Scotty's went above and beyond to help. I got the impression from observation that this was their norm. I wish more businesses operated on the principle of integrity the way I experienced at Scotty's. I made it back to Georgia with no problems at all!! Truck drives and rides better than ever!! Thank you guys for being there in my hour of need!!!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. At Scotty’s Automotive Repair, we explain that understanding how temperature affects your tires can save you from unnecessary visits- and every 10°F drop in temperature causes about a 2% decrease in tire pressure due to the physics of gas contraction.
To determine if you’re dealing with seasonal inflation changes versus an actual leak, our technicians recommend checking pressure when tires are cold (before driving) using your vehicle’s recommended PSI from the driver’s side door jamb.
If readings consistently drop below this threshold even after reinflation, we perform a comprehensive leak detection test including visual inspection of valve stems and sidewalls to identify any air loss points- helping you maintain optimal tire safety without over-inflating during winter months when proper traction is critical for handling icy roads.
The sudden loss of heat you’re experiencing typically stems from one of three common issues we see at Scotty’s Automotive Repair during these January deep freezes- most frequently, your vehicle’s thermostat has failed in the open position, preventing coolant circulation to the heater core, or you’ve developed a low coolant condition that’s compromising system performance.
Our technicians will begin by verifying engine temperature reaches normal operating range (using our infrared thermometer) and checking for visible leaks around hoses and connections before inspecting your heater control valve operation- we’ll also examine the blend door actuator that directs hot air flow from the heater core, as these components often fail during extreme temperature swings.
For modern vehicles with electronic climate controls, we perform diagnostic scans to check for any HVAC-related fault codes that might indicate more complex issues with the system’s control module.
At Scotty’s Automotive Repair, we’re seeing an influx of customers following those jarring encounters with January potholes-impact damage to steering and suspension components often manifests through several telltale signs including noticeable vibration in your steering wheel at highway speeds (especially between 45-60 mph), uneven or excessive tire wear on the inner or outer edges, or your vehicle pulling consistently to one side even on straight roads.
Our computerized four-wheel alignment system can precisely measure these subtle changes from factory specifications within minutes of arrival-we’ll identify whether you need a simple alignment adjustment or if more significant damage has occurred to control arms, tie rods, or steering rack components that require replacement before proceeding with any work, ensuring your vehicle handles safely through winter’s challenging road conditions.

At Scotty’s Automotive Repair, we respect our customers’ desire to save on repair costs while recognizing the critical safety implications of proper brake service-we typically recommend leaving brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing to professionals unless you have significant mechanical experience.
While DIY brake pads might cost $150-200 less initially, professional installation includes specialized equipment like electronic caliper pistons for proper retraction, comprehensive lubrication of all moving parts with high-temperature grease, precision measurement of disc thickness and runout, and verification that your ABS system is properly bled afterward-factors that can significantly extend brake life and ensure optimal stopping performance.
We offer transparent pricing on our brake services performed by our ASE-certified technicians who follow strict safety protocols for these critical systems.
